One of a some-more important changes was a further of a micro-regionals, a then-unknown series of sub-events to take place opposite a United States and feeding into a dual Qualifying Events (that afterwards lead to a National stage). We now know a series of events and where and when they will be held.

Host cities include: Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Greenville, SC; Louisville, KY; Washington D.C.; and Tulsa, OK. And a events are function soon. The initial dual events take place in Rancho Cucamonga and Seattle in small over a month, Aug 25th by 27th.

As remarkable in a strange proclamation of a further of micro-regionals, a tip 8 Barista Competition and 4 Brewers Cup competitors from any eventuality will be guaranteed entrance into a Qualifying Event to take place during a after date, presumably some time in early 2018. Any additional spots during a Qualifying Event will be postulated on a first-come first-serve basis.

More information is still onward entrance on a events themselves; a proclamation states horde website information and links will be done accessible on Aug 1st.
