A section of Irvine-based fast-food supply hulk Golden State Foods has grown a standing as Starbucks’ tip store supplier.
Golden State’s Quality Custom Distributors is now delivering coffee, food, other reserve and sell to 7,500 Starbucks national after adding 2,100 stores in a Midwest and Northeast.
That expansion comes with a acquisition of DPI Dedicated Logistics placement centers in Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston and Washington, D.C. and a repository in St. Louis.
Quality Custom, that late final year relocated a domicile operations to Frisco, Texas from Irvine, combined 600 workers to boost staffing to 3,000 with a deal. Terms were not disclosed.
Ryan Hammer, Quality Custom’s president, says a merger will emanate efficiencies for both his association and Starbucks, that has 10,000 company-owned stores and 8,000 outlets nationwide. For example, a broader network will need shorter shipping distances ensuing in quicker, cheaper deliveries.
“This is unequivocally a large understanding for us,” he says.
Hammer combined that Quality Custom’s has also recently grown a placement work for a Chick-fil-A and Chipotle chains, adding placement work in Florida and Texas.
