Inside Logan Square’s Cold War-Inspired Coffee Shop, Now Open

A new coffee emporium from a owners of renouned Wicker Park cafeteria Wormhole, is now open in Logan Square. Like Wormhole, that is famous for a 1980s film posters and Back To The Future-style DeLorean, a West Logan Square cafeteria during 3431 W. Fullerton Avenue has a theme. For a new spot, simply famous as Halfwit Coffee Roasters, a thesis is a Cold War epoch space competition between a Americans and Soviets.

Unlike Wormhole, a Logan Square space doubles as a roasting trickery and training lab, creation it a domicile of sorts for owners Travis Schaffner’s coffee wholesaler, Halfwit Coffee Roasters. Expect vast community tables, giveaway WiFi, pastries and, of course, creatively roasted Halfwit coffee.

Halfwit reserve a coffee during Logan Square’s Damn Fine Coffee Bar, Rogers Park’s Smack Dab and Wicker Park’s Scone City. The new cafeteria gives Schaffner and his group some-more code recognition.
