‘Make good coffee. Do good things’: Lincoln Road Roastery opens in Pikeville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) – Three Appalachians came together with one mission: “Make good coffee. Do good things.” From that, Lincoln Road Coffee was born. And after a lot of suspicion and design, so was Lincoln Road Roastery.

The roastery, that non-stop this week, operates from a front space of The Blue Raven on Pikeville’s Main Street. There a coffee is not usually served uninformed though roasted fresh.

“We wish to have fresh-roasted beans and have a totally opposite knowledge with coffee right here in Appalachia,” pronounced Ryan Jones, one of a co-owners of a coffee shop.

Jones pronounced he partnered with Payton May and Jarred McGuire since all 3 organisation are heavily invested in a region.

“We’re all unequivocally ardent about Eastern Kentucky and Appalachia and wish to see it flower and wish to see good things occur from here,” Jones said.

He pronounced that is where a goal matter and business devise of Lincoln Road Roastery come into play.

“We wish to build village by this coffee shop,” he said. “We wish to be doing good things for a village here, though we wish to do good things regionally and in a universe as well.”

He pronounced a approach they devise to make this occur is “really simple.”

“We’re gonna make a difference. We’re gonna impact lives,” Jones said. “We’re gonna do that by coffee and a approach we provide people that come by a doors.”

Jones pronounced one leg of that devise started Friday with a company’s “Do Good Things” mission, that will name a business, classification or organisation of people any week to accept 4 giveaway cups of coffee.

The coffee, he said, is opposite than a common drinks. Since it is roasted fresh, a emporium also skeleton to offer in a uninformed way, going behind to a Italian coffee style. The roastery also sales the coffee beans during a indiscriminate level.

The coffee emporium is open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday by Friday and 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The building is located during 211 Main Steet.
